Empowering Futures, Embracing SDG’s
September 2015 At the “United Nations Sustainable Development Summit” held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, 193 specific goals “SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)” were set for the international community to aim for the realization of a sustainable society by 2030. It was adopted with the agreement of United Nations member states. It aims to solve not only issues such as poverty and hunger in developing countries, but also issues in developed countries such as human rights, gender, and technological innovation, as well as global issues such as climate change and energy. The slogans were “in larger freedom” and “well-being,” in which no one is left behind. The United Nations is calling on governments, businesses and civil society to take global action to achieve this goal. In particular, high expectations are placed on companies as actors responsible for solving problems.
About the Spiritual Coordinator Association’s efforts towards SDG’S
We, the Spiritual Coordinator Association will work together with various institutions, organizations, and companies to promote sustainability initiatives based on the 17 goals of the United Nations SDGs. Specifically, we will focus on the following six areas and promote international cooperation activities in the future.
